Grounds for Appeal
Authors who believe an editorial decision (rejection, required major revision, or scope rejection) resulted from a misunderstanding of the manuscript, a factual error by a reviewer, or a procedural irregularity may submit a written appeal.
How to Appeal
- Email ijstsjournal@gmail.com within 30 days of the decision, referencing the OJS manuscript ID.
- Provide a point-by-point response explaining specifically where the review or decision is contested.
- Avoid simply restating disagreement — appeals should identify factual or procedural grounds.
Review of an Appeal
The Editor-in-Chief reviews the appeal, which may involve consulting an independent additional reviewer or Editorial Board member not involved in the original decision. The outcome of an appeal is final.
