Process

Peer Review Policy

IJSTS follows a double-blind peer review process designed to evaluate manuscripts solely on scientific merit.

Initial Editorial Screening

Each submitted manuscript undergoes an initial evaluation to determine suitability for the journal, originality, scientific quality, ethical compliance, completeness of submission, and adherence to author guidelines. Manuscripts failing these requirements may be rejected without external review.

External Peer Review

Suitable manuscripts are evaluated by at least two independent experts, who assess originality, scientific significance, technical quality, experimental design, statistical validity, literature review, interpretation of results, clarity of presentation, ethical compliance, and relevance to sustainability. Additional reviewers may be invited when required.

Editorial Decision

Following peer review, the Editor may decide to Accept, request Minor Revision, request Major Revision, or Reject. The Editor's decision is final.

Double-blind protocol: neither reviewers nor authors are aware of each other's identities throughout the process. See the Reviewer Guidelines for the full evaluation checklist.
