Generative AI

AI Policy

Rules governing the use of AI-assisted tools in manuscript preparation and review.

Acceptable Use

Authors may use AI-assisted tools to improve grammar, language editing, formatting, translation, readability, coding assistance, and literature organization. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of all submitted content.

Disclosure Requirement

Any substantial use of AI tools in manuscript preparation must be disclosed in the manuscript — for example, in the Acknowledgements or a dedicated disclosure statement — identifying the tool used and describing how it was used.

Prohibited Uses

  • Generating or fabricating research data
  • Inventing experimental results
  • Producing false citations or references
  • Creating manipulated scientific images
  • Generating fraudulent peer-review reports
  • Replacing authors' intellectual contributions

AI systems cannot be listed as authors, because they cannot accept responsibility or accountability for published work. Editors may request clarification regarding AI use whenever necessary.
