Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about submitting to, and publishing with, IJSTS.

Is IJSTS a peer-reviewed journal?
Yes. Every manuscript undergoes double-blind peer review by at least two independent domain experts, following an initial editorial screening.
Is there a fee to publish in IJSTS?
All Article Processing Charges are waived for manuscripts accepted during the journal's launch year. See the APC page for details.
How long does peer review take?
IJSTS uses an Online First model to publish accepted articles as quickly as possible after copyediting; exact timelines depend on reviewer availability and revision rounds.
What citation style does IJSTS use?
IJSTS uses the IEEE numbered citation system, with in-text references as sequential bracketed integers, e.g. [1], [2, 3].
Can I use AI tools to write or edit my manuscript?
AI tools may be used for language editing, formatting, and similar support, but must be disclosed, and cannot be listed as an author. See the AI Policy for full rules.
What is the maximum similarity score allowed?
Manuscripts with an overall similarity index above 15% on Crossref Similarity Check / iThenticate are rejected without review.
Do I need to submit a separate title page?
Yes. Submissions are split into a Title Page (with author identities) and a fully Blinded Manuscript, to preserve the double-blind review process.
Who do I contact with submission questions?
